Hi Everyone,
My next challenge to get to on my '68 Sonett, is an issue with hard starting. Even with a fully charged battery (tested out at 94% capacity) the starter will barely turn over and only a couple of times. Then acts as if there's not enough juice to get it to turn. I checked out the battery and alternator, both seem to be fine (once the car is started, it runs fine with a disconnected battery). Also checked the tension on my fan belt and it's fine.
So, I'm thinking there must be an issue with the starter. Any troubleshooting advice from the experts in the crowd? I was thinking the starter might be "gummed up" somehow, but I've never had to deal with it in the past. Didn't want to go through pulling it out until I got some advice.
Thanks in advance,
-Scott
