Years ago I was at Lime Rock and there was a guy from Main that was racing a 96 V-4. He had a set of three piece wheels that have an inner and outer rim and a hub sandwiched between them (you would specify the offset you want). The three pieces were held together by a set of bolts around the inner diameter of the rim sections. I've seen similarly constructed wheels on drag cars. The center hub can be drilled for any bolt-circle/hub-diameter that you want.
SAAB 95/96/97 wheels not only have a larger bolt circle than anything except an early VW Bug/Porsche, but the center hole has to be larger, too, because of the diameter of the center hub.
