Yes, the manual at 641-3 has a good description of how to remove the whole steering lock, but the manual at 364-1 for removal of the ignition lock is less helpful. It mentions how to align the switch during installation and removal, but nothing about the actual removal steps.

Can the ignition switch be removed in the car or do we first have to remove the steering wheel (like in 641-3 for the steering lock procedure)? It kind of looks like it could be removed with the steering in place, although it's the usual 'under the panel' struggle.
