Thanks! Someone else confirmed for me that the spacing is the same (guess that's 'cuz the brackets on the sides of the engine are the same too) so this should be right.
The same person, who has a diagram of all the key body dimensions (although it's marked in Swedish) told me that the exact spacing converts from metric to 17.71 inches, but I figure 17-3/4 ought to be close enough... if not, I'll just hit it with a bigger hammer!
