Thanks for the good news! I happen to be having that same grinding sound in my "new" 68. After I freed the fuel lines, I have had a hard time letting her sit there - purrring so nicely. When I read your post, I went out and tried shifting with the clutch pedal almost to the floor, just before the grinding - It took! and held. Does this mean that I could be looking at a simple slave rebuild? Please! Please!
