My recently purchased Sonett has a wiggly parking brake lever. It appears to wobble from the lower pivot and the pawl does not always engage the toothed rack. The pivot itself seems OK but there doesn't appear to be anything to guide the lever near the top. There is to be a lot of clearance between the vertical metal piece that makes up the rack and the slot in the lever itself where the vertical piece passes through the rear of the lever. I was thinking of getting some thin sheets of plastic to fill the space and take out some of the wobble but I'm new to Sonetts and was wondering if there is a piece that I am missing. I need to fix this before it will pass the PA state safety inspection and I can enjoy time behind the wheel. TIA.
