I suppose it's an electric clock of the round type that was also used in the 96 of those days? If so, I managed to get one working again by drilling out the holes that act as a bearing for the to and fro going wheel with the spring in it (sorry, don't know the English word). I used a drill of either 0.5 or 0.8mm (don't remember, it was a few years back), which was only slightly bigger than the hole was, and the clock has been ticking happily ever after every time I put electricity on from time to time.
