Most 95/96/97 rims are 4" wide, I have heard that a few 4.5" rims were supplied. This measurement is probably stamped on the rim, or easily measured bead-to-bead on the inside. The 185-60 tires can be mounted but be aware that those rim widths are not recommended, the tires are intended for wider rims. Handling and wear will not be optimal. Tire dealers who are aware of the mismatch may be disinclined to mount them for you. I am still running 165-15s on my 95 wagon but their availability is in decline and the only ones I have located are definitely on the economy side as opposed to the performance side. Wider rims from other cars that will fit these Saabs do not exist as far as I have been able to determine. The best solution I have come to is to have wider rims mounted to the existing wheel centers. This is routinely done by specialty wheel shops, but is a tad on the expensive side, and not something one wants to do until it is assured that clearance issues with the wider tires have been resolved. I would guess that Sonetts have tighter clearance than 95/96 models.
