...I was watching "Trucks" on TSN/Spike TV several months ago, and there is a power brake unit that runs off power steering hydraulic fluid. You would need to cluge a power steering unit into the V4 Industrial block, but I believe there were power steering units made specifically for this block and its sister V6 block on other automotive applications. You would then run the hydraulics to the special braking unit. You would need to get a cast iron timing gear, as the fiber gear would take a beating.

On a 1700 lb car, how badly do you need power brakes? This would be an expenssive route, but it is a possibility.
