Sonett III dimmer switch not working Posted by UpstateNY Bill [Email] (#73) [Profile/Gallery] (more from UpstateNY Bill) on Wed, 17 May 2006 17:47:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I disconnected the wires from the back of it, touched them together, and the dash lights came on so now I know it's the dimmer switch. The spring inside is intact, I put the slightest dab of conductive grease on the contacts and still no go. Haven't gotten around to actually putting an ohmmeter to it yet but it must be crudded up internally and therefore no continuity. Can anyone recommend a way to clean it up? Soak it in something? If so, what?
It's so quiet in this BB, I can almost hear my Sonett rusting away with all this rain in the North East. Ordered weatherstripping from JC Whitney to help keep the rain out of my car, but I should probably get a car cover to tide me over until I build that garage. Any recommendations?
Thanks all,
Bill
