1. Rust inside the drum. Take of the hand brake wire and try to force the linkage forward and backward and leave it as forward as you can. Also try to losen the brake adjustment screws. Remove the drum.
If this doesn´t work you must remove the brake drum by force with a proper tool. You probably damage all the brake parts inside if they are rusted toghether with the brake drum. Get the spares before you use force.

2. I think the engine colors are the same as on the 96 model.

Late twostroke: Dark green

V4 1967: Black or orange red
V4 1968 (short spark plug): Silver
V4 1968-69 (long spark plug): Ford blue engine color
V4 1970-to the end: Black
