...I took a 1/2inch wide 2 inch long piece of galvanized steel sheet, drilled a hole in one end, bent it to shape, and then bolted (via the hole)it to the carb leaving the Weber linkage in place. I then bent a tab/corner from the free/short end of my home made linkage around the lower edge of the Weber linkage to lock it against rotation ( I was too lazy to get out the MIG welder for this small job but tack welding the 2 together is not a bad idea). (Of course I also drilled a smaller hole on the linkage side and rounded that area off to allow for the linkage wire to fit and to allow for the linkage wire retainer to fit and not bind up).

Sounds like alot of work, but in actuality took less than 10 minutes. Works great.
