Glenn, your car is absolutely stunning. I'd love to do that someday but right now its a bit beyond my budget and time schedule.

I guess you could say that I'm looking for a II that might be in need of some work but isn't in immediate need of a complete restoration today. I don't mind spending some time under the hood but I'd love to find a body that's in good shape to last me through the next few years without requiring serious attention. I'm not real comfortable doing body work on my own and I've never worked with fiberglass before.

I'll paint a quick picture for you: My wife is 8 months pregnant and we have a 22 mo old daughter. We just completely renovated our home and put on an addition last year and now we're thinking about finishing the basement. The next "x" number of months is going to be a complete unknown so while I'd actually love to have a Sonett in the garage to drive on weekends and fix up now and then; a completely overhaul is something I can't even dream about considering right now. :) So, I'd like a car that will last a while with normal maintenance and a few "not-so normal" parts here and there before it screams "fix everything or call me a rolling chassis."

What do you guys think is a reasonable price to pay for a decent running II...not a show car...but one that fits my description?
