This is the first time I have ever driven a vintage Saab, so it is a little different, (A very good thing).
The handle is connected and the nylon mechanism moves, however, there is never any engine brake when you are in gear and off the throttle. I have scoured this site and the vintage site and not found anything about a freewheel being stuck on. Is this mechanically possible? Would extensive Transmission flushes help? Transmission does make some scary noises sometimes.
