Thanks but I found some driving lights that work great! I had picked up some 5-3/4 low beam headlight buckets from a junkyard Jaguar XJ6, but hadn't gotten around to looking into how to install them until today. These are the buckets that are in the hood portion of the Jag.
As it turns out, they work perfectly with no modification necessary to the blanks in my car (that had cheap fog lights already installed by a previous owner).
To do this, I removed the fog lights, removed the metal back plate from the plastic shell surround, and fitted the Jag buckets to the plastic shell surround. The holes lined up perfectly. I did have to remove one of the plastic shell surrounds, turn it 180 degrees and reinstall, or the wording on the driving light would have been upside down.
The Jag buckets came with a rubber cushion backing, and being actual headlight buckets, they have adjustment screws for aiming the lights.
