Hi all,
I'm new in the world of Sonetts. I'm from Holland and overhere aren't many Sonetts around. I bought a 74 Sonett III (mellow yellow) last Saturday from a man who started restoring the Sonett, but -sadly enough- has become very ill and has to stop this hobby. The car is complete, but in bits and pieces (hence the price: virtually free).
I'm not new to Saab; I've owned several: 96V4, 99EMS, 90 and currently a M07 Saab 9-3Station.
I've uploaded some pictures of the car on http://www.photobucket.com, search for Sonett1974 and you can see some pictures. The bottom of the car was in a bad shape, the former owner asked a nearby sheetmetal shop to make him new parts (1 mm thick material, POR15'ed)
Anywau, just behind the engine compartment is a long beam running backwards. The beam is straight, the floor metal not: (originally) there's a 'crest' running from one door to the other. How does that beam fit with the pattern of the floor boards when there's that crest? I hope that you can undertand my explenation, not being English by language.
I really appericiate any comment on the pics and this posting!
Regards,
Menno
