derek900,
There are a few wiring differences between the years and I have a 71 and 73's so I'm not sure what the 72's look like. When you say fan fuse are you saying fuse position #1? The power for #1 comes from the infeed at fuse #7 (bottom). I had a problem here when the bottom tab/connector on my 71 broke (infeed #7). This is also the power source which on start up "excites" the alternator. On the fuse panel (under dash) the power in side is on the bottom and the power out (through the fuse) is on the top. All fuses should be "Buss" type and are rated at 8 Amps. You can find these at most old British car part suppliers. For a wiring diagram for your 72 Sonett do a search on this Bulletin Board for "Wiring diagrams on Parts Archive"
