Hi, I'm new to the list. I recently purchased a 1980 Saab 900 GLiwith 130,000 miles on it and a 4 speed. My car has a clock where the tach is supposed to be, hence I am onlyguessing how hard it's safe to push it when merging with traffic.I was wondering if someone who does have a tach could let me knowat what speeds redline (or near-redline) is in each gear with thistransmission. (I *think* this transmission has the same ratios asthe 5-speed only missing the 5th gear).Another related question: is there a way to replace the clock witha tach in the instrument panel?(The clock does seem to keep perfect time, I'll give it that! :-)-- --**-Steve Barber----stevebno39sdcx6spamx782shade.Ann-Arbor.MI.US----(cmode)-------------------
