Saab 9-5 Wheels [saabnet.com]
Posted by Trionic900 - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e.php3?e (more from Trionic900 - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e.php3?e) on Wed, 4 Aug 2004 16:11:42
I purchased a 2001 9-5 Aero in May and am extremely happy with this vehicle. It has the BBS alloy wheel option that looks great but are very vulnerable to 'curb rash'. The previous owner kissed the curb a few times and, careful as I am, I also inflicted some minor damage. I have a few questions regarding the Aero's wheels-
1) Are there some brands of tires that offer a thicker sidewall 'rub strip' to protect the wheels?
2) What should I expect to pay to re-condition the BBS wheels? (There are some significant scratches, but no chips)
3) I intend to run winter tires on steel wheels. What is a good source for 16' steel wheels? Simply reply to this message to send a response. ================ The Saab Network - On the Internet Since 1988 http://www.saabnet.com/
