Hatchback

I've just purchased a 1984 900 Turbo and find I can't lock thehatch (it's a 3DR hatchback). The key won't quite make it to the10:00 o'clock position the owner's manual states is required tolock it. I hear the solenoid kick when I lock the driver's door,but the hatch remains unlocked. Anybody had this problem? If so,how did you fix it? Thanks.Stephen
