Subject: AOL Network Denied Service After Attacks

The Saab Network web site (http://www.saabnet.com/) has been subject to
attacks from the AOL Network over the past few weeks. Attempts from both
the site owner and members to contact AOL about these attacks went
unanswered. After the third such attack, The Saab Network server will deny
service to the AOL Network and all of its users for 24 hours beginning
Friday July 9th at 12 noon (PDT) and ending the following noon. For each
additional attack from the AOL Network, service will be denied for another
24 hours, plus an additional 24 hours for each attack.
'We have been very patient and have tried to work through AOL's abuse
service, but it's like nobody's home,' said Scott Paterson, The Saab
Network Founder. 'AOL users that our inconvenienced by an inability to
connect to The Saab Network server are encouraged to sign up with a local
ISP for Internet service.'
The attacks on The Saab Network have been in the form of gross, vulgar
postings left on its bulletin board area. The postings have been easily
traced back to the AOL Network via detailed web logs and are considered to
all have been done by the same user. The latest such attack coming from:

The Saab Network, on the Internet since 1988 caters to tens of thousands
of Saab owners each month via its web site and mailing list.
