Cleaning tough brake dust on Rims

Does anyone have a good solution to cleaning the tough, small spots of
brake dust that form in the corners? I've tried a number of basic wheel
cleaners. They work fine on the overall wheel, but I can't seem to get rid
of the small, stubborn stuff in the corners.
