I have a 95 9000CS and the DRL's were shut off by merely pulling a fuse from the interior block above the passenger footwell. Can't remember which number it was but I think it's labeled. It is toward the far right of the block. Pulling the fuse does not cause any other repercussions with any of the systems. Unless it's just taking 65k miles and 2 years for any problems to surface. :-)
