Pressure-bleed the clutch system properly, and see if it cures the problem.
When I had this problem, it was an internally-leaking master cylinder, with a broken piston-return spring. A new master cylinder is easy to replace and costs $75 or less. For the headaches it can save, it's always a great idea to replace the master.
A slave cylinder problem is best rectified with a whole new clutch kit (~$200), which includes pressure plate, disc, t/o bearing and slave. Remove the flywheel and change the crank seal also when doing a clutch.
