Non-Saabs with ABS question
Posted by Robert Schrader (more from Robert Schrader) on Tue, 17 Apr 2001 23:32:40
I'm helping my girlfriend buy another car. One of my conditions for helping
is that she get something with anti-lock brakes ( I consider them absolutely
essential ) Her budget is five thousand. She wants a 4-door mid-size or
compact ( but something like a Civic is too small ). She doesn't know how to
drive a manual.

Those four constraints really limit the number of possible cars. So I figured
a '90 or '91 4-door Saab 900 or 900S. But I've not been able to find one
in good
condition here in Southern California in the past month, and I'm running out of
time. I'm considering <gasp> something other than a Saab.

So, the question: what other used makes/models have ABS that I might expect
get readily for under 5000?

Thanks,
Robert
