stalling at full throttle
Posted by rob riehle (more from rob riehle) on Fri, 29 Jun 2001 12:00:14
1987 900s 16v non-turbo 5sp. when the car is first started (after a long cranking time) the
engine will oscilate from high to low revs. and after a bit will steady out. if i touch the
throttle, it seems like the engine floods right out, or has extremely restriced air flow.
about 3 seconds of full throttle will stall the car right out. taking off from stop signs
and lights is almost all clutch work now. after about 30 minutes of driving, it loosens up
a bit, but will still stutter, stumble, what ever the word is, a little bit. please help me
out here, this is my first saab, and is a lot different under the hood than my camaro!!!!

thanks,
rob
