Sunroof problems on 9-5 [saabnow]
Posted by The Saab Network (more from The Saab Network) on Mon, 11 Mar 2002 13:44:33
Message from Julius Rabinowitz Subject: Sunroof problems on 9-5 ================= I am having a recurring problem on the sunroof for my 1999 Saab 9-5. Last summer, I was not able to close the sunroof without first disengaging the automatic retractor for the wind deflector. My local dealer has since repaired the problem. However, when I used the sunroof this past weekend, the problem re-appeared, and once again I had to break off the retractable piece for the wind deflector (with my dealer's sales-help, it was Saturday and service was closed). The salesperson said that he experienced the same problem on his Saab and suggested that I just live without the retractable device (as he has), and to manually push the wind deflector down in order to close the sunroof. This is not very difficult, but I would just as soon have the sunroof (and wind deflecting screen) operate as sold. Has anybody else experienced a similar problem?
