'92 900 shimmy problem [saabnow]

Message from Dan Aldrich
Subject: '92 900 shimmy problem
=================
I have a strange problem w/ my 92 900. It has 210K miles. Drives fine, but on ex
tended drives at highway speeds it develops a shimmy after 30-60+ miles driving
at highway speeds. Shorter distances or around town driving doesn't manifest the
problem. It's not wheel balance; I'm thinking it may be CV joint related but my
mechanic isn't too sure it is w/o major surgery. Anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
-d
