I'm having some cooling problems (overheating, especially with prolonged
idle) and I've also noticed that the right cooling fan that often used to
come on for a while after engine shutdown, has not been operating this way
anymore. How critical is this one fan since the other (left side) does
operate. Ambient FL temperatures, here, are getting into the eighties. Water
pump seems to be operating.
I suspected stuck thermostat so I removed it entirely, thinking that engine
would definitely run cooler - that helped a bit, but not with stop and go
(with standing idle) driving. Still over heats and blows water out through
reservoir filler cap.
Ideas/comments welcomed.
