'80 99 runs bad when cold
Posted by Keegan Hartman (more from Keegan Hartman) on Mon, 9 Aug 1999 09:22:30
Our 1980 Saab 99 GL with 115K on it has been running really bad when we start it up in the morning. It will run really crappily for about 1/2 a mile and then all of a sudden it will start to run great for the rest of the day. Our mechanic has been unable to find out whats wrong with it. Anyone have any ideas?

Could someone from this knowledgeable group give some advice?
The following, maybe related/maybe not, faults have recently shown on my 9000 CSE, 94
1. No matter how I set the AC except for heater permanently on, I only get cold air. It is as if the temperature sensor believes it always is more than 27C inside the car.
2. A few weeks after this the computer display went off. The next day it came on, the next day it went permanently off.
3. A few days after this I noticed that the headlights (the dipped headlights work fine, I have separate bulbs for headlights and dipped headlights) wasn't working.
Any similar experience?
Best Jon
