There is a tube that goes from the turbo to the gauge to the intake manifold.
The turbo gauge operates by measuring the pressure in the tube. Regular
atmospheric pressure (at sea level) is supposed to be right where your needle
rests now, between the white and the orange (and this is where the needle
settles when the engine is off). So... there is a break in the tube somewhere.
Most likely, the tube has popped itself free of the little 'T' joint just
inside the firewall (at least on the 9000) on the driver's side. If you have
trouble spotting it then try it while the engine is running and listen for the
sound of air escaping.
I think this will cause a vacuum leak, so maybe another symptom
would be a slightly high idle or the check engine light on?
