'87 9kT snow tires (or not?)
Posted by Joe (more from Joe) on Mon, 13 Sep 1999 12:25:50
Hi Folks,
The current tires on my '87 9kT(an odd mix of 1 Dunlop + 3 'Defender') probably won't pass PA. State Insp. in January. I'm not especially fond of 'All Season' tires since they (IMHO) are trying to be all things to all seasons.
I liked the Bridgestone Blizzaks on my beloved (and now sold) Renault GTA. Does anyone have a favorite snow tire or are 9kTs heavy enough that 'real' snow tires aren't necessary? The snow where I live (south central PA.) is usually the heavy wet stuff, not the dry fluffy stuff they get on the West Coast. I used to swap all four WHEELS on the Renault so I don't mind doing that again.
Thanks, Joe Krepps '87 9kT 198.9k
