SAABs for many years were known to let water in through the window seals.
When I was looking at a 1993 9000CSE and asked what is the first thing I
should do for rust prevention the dealer (franchised) suggested sparaying
inside the doors.

Water gets in through the seal but the exit holes at the bottom of the
door must be blocked. May be the car was sprayed with wax type stuff and the
holes were left blocked.

There again I live in a rather wet country.

Regards
Charles
