Congratulations on reaching 100K!
I have a '91'9000 w/ manual heat controls. I noticed a very faint high
pitched whine but only when the fan is engaged at lowest setting. Last
summer, I had to replace the fan regulator relay, I believe it may have been
due to excess current draw from fan on its way out. Am debating whether to
take it to the dealer for diagnosis for fear of a $700 fan & heater core
replacement. But if that is inevitable, I suppose I should do it before the
heating season hits.
