Find out if your alt. is properly charging the battery.
1. Use a voltmeter in the cigarette lighter socket. Engine off should be around 12v Engine on should be around 13.7v
2. Buy the handy dandy $5.95 tester at your local Radio Shack. It plugs into your lighter and has colored LEDs that light to show battery condition and charging status. I always keep one in Mjollnir.
It *could* just be an old battery going duff, a process that will be accelerated by colder weather....
Good luck!
