88 900T cnvt odd lights problem

Suddenly tonight my turn lights stopped working, . when I release the brake,
the turn lights work normally, except the brake lights blink on both sides,
and when the brake is pressed the turn lights on the dash dont work, they
dimly light, and during no braking or tun signal operation everything is
normal. Is this a short, crossed wire? or some sort of trouble indicator?
