So right :-)

The dealer should offer you one car to 'test' drive with 2000-3000 miles so
you can see how 'fast or whatever takes your fancy' it goes. If that car
is sold it will be as a used car (in the UK classsed as 'demonstrator'). But
the one you buy - as you are buying brand new should be boxed. It will get
its wax removed, some internal fittings like carpets etc added at the dealer.
The dealer may also be adding alloys for you etc to bring it to your spec.
9-5s I have seen arriving at the dealer are all with steel wheels, inside
fittings are still off and there is a lot of protecting plastic covers.

The dealer should not really offer you even allow you to test drive a
boxed car. You cannot really see how fast it goes or the brakes or the
tyres as you are not supposed to be gentle with it.

Are congratulations in order then? I want a 9-5 Aero too!
Charles
