Even if your new car only has minimal miles on it, it could still have been 
abused. I mean really abused. For example, I recently took my car in to the 
dealer very early one morning, so I could get in line first, get the work 
done, and get out in time for work. I got there before they were even open, 
so I waited in my car with the engine running to keep warm, as the outside 
air temperature was only 8 degrees Fahrenheit. One of the first employees to 
appear was a guy that was moving a group of new cars that had come off a 
transporter during the night. He would start the car, then immediately rev 
the engine up and peel out, running the car in first gear at a very high RPM 
to get to the parking area. He did the same thing to every car until he had 
them all moved. These cars had been cold soaking all night in single digit 
temperatures. In my opinion (I teach engine overhaul at an aviation mechanic 
school), I think this kind of operation did more damage than a dozen 
customers flogging a car on a test drive. 

By the way I did say something to the boss (or I wouldn't be posting here), 
but he didn't seem that concerned. When I was back at the dealer looking at a 
new Aero last week, I saw the same guy driving the same way. It wasn't as 
cold, but his behavior had not changed. No way am I going to buy my new car 
there.
