I did this about 6 months ago when I was in the mood for a replacement for my aging 9-5. Thinking I wanted to get in before the tarted-up 'new' models arrived. I live near about 6 Saab dealers. The one who responded instantly, with honest numbers and respecful, unexpecting tone, Jose Rivera at Ellis Brooks Saab in San Francisco (a brand new Saab dealer in SF), will undoubtedly get my business. It took two weeks for the next (and only other) response from the dealer from whom I bought my current car, and her response was, 'We're really busy {REALLY??} and you should just come in to see me." I'm also really busy, which is why I asked for the online quote.

At this point, I've switched camps, and am in the longterm wait for the 'right' Certified 9-5, but Jose will be the person who gets my $ because he's doing it right. I get updated e-mails from him whenever something I might be interested in arrives.. and that kind of service is what you look for when you buy an offbeat car. Quality and respect. Period.
