I'll agree with most posters here. I have a 2005 9-3ss Linear that has been as reliable so far as anything I've ever owned (mostly Honda Civic and Mazda MPV, 626, Protege, 6i). I'm at 28,000 miles with no problems. I change the oil every 5k and just had the wheels pulled at 25k to check the brakes - all were good. I had an SID glitch when the vehicle was new (claiming a failure of the left headlamp), but it turned out to be a false alarm - no repeats since. I get a consistent 25-27 mpg in suburban driving and 34 or more on the highway on long trips. Best of all, it's a blast to drive! My neighbors have noticed the vehicle since I bought it and walked over 2 evenings ago to say they're interested in one to replace their 10 year old Lexus. Funny...they mentioned they see the car all the time, so it must not be in the shop very often.
