I've got a '06 SC 2.0T, 5-M/T with 22k miles and I'm finding the mileage to be slightly better than my '95 900S, 5-M/T with 159k miles. My commute is probably 80% or more of the total mileage that I put on. I drive 15.5 miles each way on somewhat twisty backroads with little to no traffic. I'm also in the Northeast, so this time of year I'm only getting 26.5-27.0 MPG, calculated by the actual pump and odometer readings. The SID on my car is a bit optimistic, reporting closer to 29 MPG. On the same commute in the '95 900S, I'd be getting about 24-25 actual MPG. When you factor in the price difference between the 87 octane and the 93 that I use in the SC, it works out to about the same miles per dollar, however.
In the warmer weather, my mileage in the SC gets up to about 28.5 MPG. From the few highway trips I've taken, I see very little increase over these numbers, although I'm sure it could do better driven closer to the speed limit.
