Hey, guys, I need your help. I'm at my wits end.
I have an 08 9-3 Aero SS with the "upgraded" 300W Bose Centerpoint system. I'm having all sorts of problems with the sound quality...in a $40k car. I live in Atlanta, yet I get all sorts of static on all of my local FM radio stations. In addition, the sound cuts in and out all the time as if it were switching between STEREO and MONO.
The sound is awful and extremely annoying. I hardly listen to the radio anymore, instead opting for CD's or my iPod, both of which sound fine.
The car has spent an extraordinary amount of time in the shop since I took delivery. The dealer has replaced the radio several times and replaced the fiber optic cables a few times. Now the regional SAAB rep claims that there is nothing wrong since we compared it to another 08 9-3 Aero on the lot that had the same awful sound problems.
Any ideas?
I took it to an after-market car audio shop, and they just kinda laughed at the Bose system. They of course recommended I replace it with a completely new system.
Can anyone help me?
