I'm not positive you'll get the same types of sound from the 2.8 V6 as you would an older car... with all the work that goes into making modern engines light & giving them good flow characteristics I think a lot of the things that gave old engines soul is missing. In my head, that motor is going to sound like a tinny VQ... not good. :) A glass pack may help deepen the sound, but on a track car I don't think it'll last very long. Heat in the system will probably melt it relatively quickly. Seems like an annoying maintenance point. I don't recall what the V6 system looks like, but I'm imagining it has a muffler and a pair of resonators... I'd probably try it with one of the two removed and see how that sounds.
