I have an 2005 Arc CV and have been having issues with a coolant leak. I took it to a Saab mechanic in Fort Worth and started replacing parts, coolant tank and cap, thermostat, a hose that looked like it was leaking a bit and it did nothing other than make the situation worse. I took it back and am now told I have in internal coolant leak and the head gasket needs to be replaced as well as the head trimmed and rebuilt. The car runs great except for the leak, and whats strange is I can do a 6 hour drive and not loose any coolant but short runs, like to work, its an hour each way, I loose coolant (I am going through a gallon every 2 weeks, sometime more). Yes, a pressure test was done, a compression test was done, but I am wondering if it could be something else? Also, the car has 145000 on it, to repair it would be about $3000 (rebuild head and install), I am not feeling its worth it and am thinking of using the Blue Devil pour and go, has anyone used it, any thoughts?
