I mounted the combination oil pressure/voltmeter gauge in the dash as follows.
1) 2 1/8" opening required.
2) Right of the steering column
3) On the same plane as the center of the steering column at the point
where it enters the dash.
4) This is below the TCS and blank buttons.
5) Center the gauge between the radio and end of the wooded portion of the
dash on the left.
6) I used a small drill bit in a Dremel tool to drill around the periphery
of the scribed 2 1/8" hole. Don't drill into the scribed circle.
7) Use the Dremel tool and a large diameter grinding bit to clean up the
hole.
The dash costs $500 new from SAAB. That's your incentive to get it right.
