Thanks, Herb - I was thinking on the way in to work this morning that that's where you might have mounted the gage. Maybe I'll get brave enough to give it a shot - I had both oil pressure and voltmeter gages in my old C900, and I really liked having them. Did you use a VDO gage? My old ones said Saab on the faces, but were made by VDO.
