I have had three black saabs. Currently I have an '89 SPG and a 9-5 Gary Fisher Wagon (both black). Yes it is the most difficult to keep cleanand shiney. The swirl marks are totally wash and wax dependent. I have had GREAT success with Liquid Glass. I apply it with a random orbital buffer and hand rub it off. Then I bake it in the sun for a few hours to cure the finish. It is one step. It looks pretty damned good. Nice "wet look" deep finish. My '89 SPG has the original finish and looks great (a good testimonial). I have tried other products (although not the griots garage spend-a-three-day-weekend-on-your-car-finish products). I always end up putting Liquid Glass back on, sometimes overtop of the other products. I think the swirl marks are very limited with this stuff. Hey what do you have to lose? I get it at PepBoys. It's also available from http://www.autodetail.com
