After spraying the car liberally down initially with water, I gently rub down the entire car by hand and the hose simultaneously. Then with a 100% cotton towel or 100% cotton diaper in soapy water. Top of the car first going down. I rinse out the towel every few wipes. Change the water in the bucket once or twice in the process. Have to be very careful near wheel wells since you can pick up a lot of grime/sand around them. I use multiple towels per wash and wash them in washer after one use. I don't use bleach or fabric softeners when I wash my towels. If the towels are still dirty I chuck em or use them only to clean the wheels.
Its true black cars are a pain but nothing looks as good on some cars then black. As I believe Henry Ford once put it you can have any colour as long as its black.
