Am I the only non-engineer on the board? I know nothing about electronics, but was able to solder in the stock connectors on the Boston Acoustics myself, so I can't be a total loss. Thanks for sharing, but where can I find the HK 6.5 front door sensetivity/efficiency ratings? If armed with that data I could figure out if going with
I think I get it now; 2OHMs to 4OHMs decrease in power can be counteracted by an increase of +2dB in the speaker.
So, going with the Bostons rated at Impedance of 4ohm and Sensitivity of 92dB over the 2.5stock OHM HK unit would cause an approximate decibel drop of 1.5 decibels. Given the stocks are also rated 92dB.
