To each his own...I disagree. The V6 is considerably more powerful and as to the timing belt issue, Saab replaces them free of charge at I think 50,000 miles. There are other features the SE has besides the auto dimming mirror also such as afterheater, etc. The 9-5 is a heavy car and I found the 4 cyl. to be lacking in sufficient power (something I know others disagree with). While I think you can be happy with the 4 cyl., if you know how to deal, you can probably get the V6 for roughly the same price-I did. I think the V6 is actually considered an Opel engine-yes, I know Opel is really German GM, or something like that. Ultimately you are the one who has to live with your decision, but if there was NO difference for the price except for the engine, I would still choose the V6.
